It was cheap wine in expensive glasses.
It was fake plants and aged floor boards.
It was a tangled string of lights and a circle of strangers,
sprawled along the front steps, jumping through
Smoke rings to feel safe somewhere. It was a
Living breathing Polaroid. A melting pot of tragic tales.
It was a moment, a fleeting feeling, a slight second of
Simplicity and the blessed curse of it all…
Is that it was.
