Living on Borrowed Time

Living on Borrowed Time

You were in my dream, I was in yours
so we haven’t met
It is too late now,
although it’s never been the right time,
insomnia, insomnia, insomnia

I smell the leaves, I’m not to leave now
I’m small and naked like that tree,
please don’t bark me,
free my cortex from the fall

Pretty like no one when you’re smiling,
you’ve got the beauty of sad people
you’ve got the wisdom of sad people

I’m trying to find a good flavour
in every one of these rotten hours
I can fake it, for their sake, yeah
I can fake it, for my sake, yeah

I have already got used to pain
So when it’s over, will I miss it?
I just wonder
I just wonder

You were in my dream, I was in yours
so we haven’t met
It is too late now,
although it’s never been the right time,
insomnia, insomnia, insomnia
