Love Phobia

Love Phobia

written by: Bilquis Fatima

The way you looked at me the other day
A silent storm surfaced in your glittery eyes
And lashed against the sensors of my heart
Vividly engraving your feelings
Like words chalked on a black slate

And the very next moment
My fear slapped me on the back of my head
Chiding
No, not even your thoughts can fly that way
Forget venturing it even out of curiosity

That path, that path is dark and suicidal
Leading to nowhere but trenches.

That type of love, love with the other type
The type whose God is supposedly different to yours,

Mercilessly leaves a pool of tears and blood behind
Uprooting homes and innocent lives.
