over thought phrases,
searching
to obscure phantom meaning
burying mists in hatchet cut lines,
ever fingering pages
for ambivalent intention
clouding inability in highbrow disguise
so leaking denotation
in non-descriptive expression
the sweat of the work-load
further blurring the lies
the affectatious versifier
publishes,
yet more indecisive rime
I write for fun, escape and expression. I'm too old to be fashionable or to know what trends are. I luckily live north of Edinburgh, halfway up a hill, semi-retired with my wife and our cocker spaniel. The kids have flown, and I have more time now, selfish time. In a never-ending cycle of trying to finish a novel, to finish something started fifteen years ago. I'm a member of a small self-run writing group with two lovely ladies who are a great inspiration and support.
