Monsoon Extravaganza

The amaranthine monsoon symphony,
Gear up for new coalescences of soulful renditions,
As exuberant street urchins begin capering,
In the mud-blended watery holes of their narrow gully,
Dancing and hopping on their very own ‘trampoline.’
The seasoned hoppers like the frogs further set the ball rolling,
As they now hop and croak, croak, and hop incessantly,
Almost with an unmasked arrogance,
Rivalling with the buzzing trumpet of the dragonflies in the newly conquered watery terrains.
The moisture-laden casements,
Induce musings about choices made, unmade,
As one nestles down in a cozy corner with a coffee mug and a light blanket.
A pigeon cocooned in its own drenched nest,
Remains completely attuned with its host tree’s temperament,
As both seem silently testing their resilience to survive this rainy game.

A rejuvenating newness engulfs the milieu,
As dreams come cascading down from above with each droplet,
Carefully washing down mortal pains, past regrets.
A sense of pantheism,
Seems to make its revival in the human heart,
Igniting again their hitherto mothballed sentiment,
To return to nature to be in their true element.
The drizzles, the heavy downpours, the pitter-patter rain, and the torrential roar,
All colours of monsoon become instrumental,
To break the chain of trivial mundanities.
And with it as life comes to a sudden, sweet halt,
Most delve deep into introspection to set meaningful goals.
