Monster

Monster

written by: Sumana Bhattacharjee

Monsters are not merely those people
Whom you heard of in bedtime stories
Or in a famous novel.

You don’t need to name him “Frankenstein”
Sometimes, even you can’t define.
Behind their sugar-coated words,
They are devil inside who never let you shine.

Alluring personality, dapper look
They can trap you so nicely,
To escape, you rarely get any loop.

In front of them, you question your dignity
You ask yourself, you doubt yourself
Slowly, you start to lose your identity,
Still, peace should be your priority.

Nay! They don’t have any claws or nails
But an evil spirit reigns,
Charming smile, a monster inside ….
Only they can feel who walked by their side.

When someone shares with them their life
They only know how difficult to survive,
But you have to choose between heaven and hell,
Just keep in mind you’re a stalwart soul
God never made you frail.
