Mystical and Beautiful

Your eyes are mystical and beautiful
When I look in your eyes it’s intense
The feeling I get is extraordinary
Enormous feelings of love so immense

A tenderness of warmth and desire
To get lost in your eyes of blue
Discover the beauty there within
That makes me love you the way I do

It’s like nothing I’ve ever known before
I’m full of utter energetic bliss
My love seems to grow never dissipate
I’ve never felt such a feeling like this

When I look in your eyes it’s intense
Activating a deep love connection
You seem to transmute all my feelings
Into love beyond any dimension

Healing my wounds from the past
Gently calming my old energy
I feel I’m changing into something new
Becoming a better version of me

You reconnect my heart to my head
Where I think of no one but you
Your eyes are mystical and beautiful
You made me love you the way I do

I have been writing poetry since 13 years old and I love writing a poem or two or three every day... I am now fifty four years old and never get bored of what I enjoy doing. I write what I see and what I feel and turn my words into art.. poetry from my heart.. I live in Romania having moved from the UK three years ago... I met my partner on Allpoetry where I wrote a poem called 'The Poet and Poetess' and ever since we have been through some good times and through some bad, but we have stayed strong and supportive of each other through it all... As a poet like all poets I write all types of poetry but I prefer rhyme more than anything as you will notice the more you read my poetry, I also write a lot about love, heartbreak, and pain... the reason is I've seen it, done it, and been there, like so many people who write poetry. I hope you enjoy reading any of my future works of art.

Lou Storey

A textbook example of nominative determinism, Lou Storey has always been a storyteller, a fact well illustrated in his art and in his writing. His careers have reflected that as well, first as a creator of idea-based exhibitions for museums, and later as a psychotherapist employing narrative therapies. His art and his writing share qualities of rich texture and detail, examining our capacity to be absurd while allowing a measure of forgiveness for our foibles. Storey and his husband Steve retired in 2021 and moved from New Jersey to Savannah Georgia. “We love everything about Savannah, it is like a city that looks like a park and thinks it’s a small town. Best of all, we can grow bananas in the backyard!”

Treats Only, Please! by Lauren Scott

Creepy cackles from tall, looming trees
startle their jumpy heartbeats as they walk.
Shadows discreetly follow the echoes
while they timidly proceed down the block.

Young voices repeat with conviction,
“It’s just a night for entertainment.”
There’s no need for goosebumps and fear
as their eyes focus on the cracked pavement.

Undeniably sensing they’re not alone,
many follow in their hesitant footsteps,
eager to reach doors and push doorbells
but afraid of frightening special effects....
