NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A bright red background, words of the haiku occupying the righthand side in black Graphite Std Wide font. The haiku curves away and downward from the fragmented shape on the left side of the image, which resembles the upper body of a small grey kitten with a yellowish-green eye. Dark red shape surrounds the kitten, suggesting the folds of a blanket. The cat appears to be snuggled in with her paws up near her face, peering at the viewer with her left eye.
