NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A shadowy background, glowing warm in the centre. In front of this, the ghostly, glowing shape of a cat repeats in varying levels of opacity, warming in such a way as to lean toward the viewer. On either side sits a white teacup or mug, handle facing inward. The cups are roughly sketched in flat white, and contain what looks like glassy, brown, semi-transparent liquid, emitting soft, brown steam. The words of the haiku float at the centre top of the image, warped and wavy in white, Caflisch Script Pro Light font.
