charming pretty colored lines, appearing above the skyline to where my tired eyes find rest on a day’s mentally challenging grind; a perfect treat to an afternoon delight.
to what do i owe this honor of your presence, when all that i wanted was to snap a shot of the verdant hills not too far away hovering over the city landscape like a helicopter suspended in the air?
charming pretty colored lines, we called you rainbow by name; fascinating and enchanting nature’s greatest gift to anyone who does not believe that magic is everywhere, in fact, it would be great if we’d truly find the pot of gold you’ve been hiding for so long.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
The Ameri-Ku, which Joni Caggiano started writing is the American version of Euro-Ku by Francisco Bravo Cabrera. According to Francisco, the rules are quite simple: A poem with three verses accompanied by an image, an illustration, be it a photograph, a painting, or a drawing, but created by the author, unedited and unique to the poem. The verses can be as long as you need them to be but they must form a cohesive, logical, and well-understood whole. They should not drift into outer space as do the translations we read of Zen Haikus or others.
