Road Scars

Road Scars

written by: James Dennis Casey IV

dull razor of time
slice thine cheek

longing to feel
anything at all

every waking moment
at war with myself

3 wishes and 2
black eyes, blue

cut and dry notes
silent dark symphonies

orchestrated in sleep
high as he’d ever been

bold italic dreams
lost, found, released

tripping down the highway
through hell, heaven sent
