Sakura Dance
written by: Alyssa Gwen

She fell
gently
as lithe as
a ballet dancer
Landed softly like a feather
Whirled
in a spring breeze
Then
She turned
and
took her bow
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
This is my another poem to praise cherry blossom (Japanese call it Sakura)
Most people probably love rose more than cherry blossom, but it’s my most favourite flower of all time.
Its short blooming period is often compared to the transition nature of life; reminds people that every beginning has an end. Because its peak bloom is only a couple of week, like our life is beautiful, yet very short.
Falling cherry blossoms always make me a little sentimental, hope every one enjoys reading this poem.
