Today as always, the sun rises rolling forward,
With silent fanfare dreams are paused;
The clouds started their commute jostling with purpose,
Lowdown the grass and all in green, upright stand saluting,
Others scurrying carrying swerving delivering,
Then, all the harmonies take over.

Today as most days, the scene
Soothes the river, its bridges flowing,
Its planes empty, ready;
Also an aerial show continued,
Flocks fuelled, many lined straight-
To destinations unknown, flapping accelerating,
Pitched ever so high, they just floated over.

Today after the spell of cold days, with warmth,
Growth picked up a little in fields and hedgerows;
Fruits are still expected later this year;
Up high in steepling beacons, a race developed
Climbing clouds, becoming so heavy
Many were lost perspiring ascending:
Stilled red by evening sun, the day was over.
