Sight

Sight

written by: Flash

Flaming sunrise ‘cross the sky
Majestic eagle’s flight
Rainbows on a cloudy day
A million stars at night
The beauty in a woman’s smile
A desert cactus bloom
The way your lover brightens up
When you walk into the room
To only get one side of these
Is still an honest blessing
The blurry image on the left
Can only keep me guessing
What will I do when on the right
My vision starts to fade
When details of that starry night
My memory has to trade
The eye is such a miracle
A gift we take as given
It’s such an easy thing to lose
No sure thing while we’re living
I’m glad that doctors found a cure
An answer for my plight
So I will still be blessed to see
The beauty of starlight
