Silent Screams

Silent Screams

written by: Ernest Federspiel

A jester sits alone in the dark
Streams of tears tracing his cheek
Memories of a life filled with pain
Shared as jokes to earn a living
A jester living in Silent Screams

He used his mind to run from the fear
Turning it around for simple applause
Laughter felt so warm and soothing
Beating away the pain and the hurt of life
The jester remains in Silent Screams

Will he continue all alone and blue
A jester no longer making you laugh
Smiles erased from his heart and soul
He sits in the darkness with tears of salt
All that remains are his Silent Screams
