My tongue shall carve my dark words of love into your white, porous flesh so you don’t forget how much I have loved you from the beginning of our sin. The scars that arise from the destruction of your covering will remind you of all the failing conversations and feelings that you trampled under your feet. I’m waiting in vain for those spoken words and touch we shared between ourselves, such magical love and pleasurable pain in a perfect balance of grace. This darkened finality is not what I wagered when we started this war but it was to be forever written in the stars.
