Solo Journey

Solo Journey

written by: Nisha Raviprasad

Let’s meet
at the edge of sky
where no clouds live
nor birds fly
Only silence prevails.
In the castle of silence
golden tunes
of solitude will hum
you will exist
and so will I
together
but miles away.

This January sky
reveals
mourning truths
of life.
Clouds drift
But rain
fails to greet.
has nature too
taken on
man’s styles of unruliness?
No flowers have bloomed today
no buds not even weeds
have come along
to stay.
I turn
to the closed windows
shedding to dust.
No shackles
of grief
shall ever play with me
anymore.
I have surrendered
to the deepest silence
in my soul…
for
though together
we exist
we are miles away.
