NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A brilliant, rainbow background, radiating out from the centre of the image just above the horizon. A diffused glow permeates the scene, lighting up the gently rolling, green hills and showering everything with soft sparkles. In the foreground a perfectly contented brown looking cat sits to the left of a bronze flying saucer with 3 legs. The glass dome is open to reveal the empty interior, suggesting our furry friend has just unboarded. The words of the haiku hang in the air top and centre, in white Caflisch Script Pro Bold font.
