Starless Heart

Under a starless sky,
I witnessed our love die,
Slipping through the cracks
As, to the void, we turned our backs.
Deceiving words got stranded,
At different shores, abandoned;
With unwritten ink the sand got stained,
From the ghosts of letters that, in my heart, remained.
In the mirror on the wall
My starless eyes see it all,
Looking back to find the dying start
Of my now starless heart…
