Sun Sets

Sun Sets

written by: Duane L Herrmann

When I see a sunset
especially one
full of colors:
reds, oranges, purples,
and sometimes rare,
even faint, pale green.
I am grateful
for the ability to see
and appreciate
this majesty.
Why would we be
entertained by such
if not a sign
of far more to come?
And, passing quickly,
we can know
transitoriness
is part of this world too.
