Ten Years

Ten years now
Since I saw your face
Touched your hand
Watched you sleep.
Ten long years
Since I heard your voice
Laughed with you
Made you smile.
Ten lost years
While the ghost of you
Comes to me
Then is gone.
Yes, ten years
Since you closed your eyes
Said good night
Never woke.
No, ten years
Cannot bring me peace
Memories
Never dim.
So ten years
That I mark today
With my tears
With my love.
