The Dark Terraces

The Dark Terraces

written by: Stark Hunter

latex curtain drooping
ripping open in white starless connivances
maggot ghosts and cockroach zombies
gnaw on steel assemblages
eat the living with gnarled fingers
chew on docile bridges spanning infected rivers
they slide and slink up freezing bannisters
dripping chemical gonads and sugar spit
upon the dark terraces
sinister shadows stroll through the latex gardens
eating hot cheeseburgers under a pornographic moon
like trauma fish spasming in a X-rated nightmare
dead chicks in heels dancing like mad birds
flashing naked on a foggy ballroom dance floor
embalmed saxophones play a creepy serenade
plying electric surf bombs with a belching fender
maggot ghosts and cockroach zombies
eat the living with gnarled fingers
upon the dark terraces
