The Earthen Vessel

The Earthen Vessel

Clay pot resides in silent dusty croft
The quiet keeper, mystery guards aloft
Its fragile earth protects the precious gifts
A weight of glory there within uplifts

Glazed pottery upon that shelf forgot
Unnoticed there because of humble spot
When vandals come to pillage and abuse
That simple dusty pot they all misuse

Within the cracked and sturdy vessel lives
The valued treasure which its master gives
Like desert Jin, enshrouds a magic bond
And wonders to the one who looks beyond

Within this frame of earth contains a whole
The wonder! Treasure of the human soul
