Simona is a Romanian-born published author living in UK where she enjoys her profession as a radiographer and writing as her biggest passion. Her first traditional published poetry book, Visările dintre castani (Daydreams among chestnut trees) came out this year (Siono Publishing House in Romania). Her writings are posted online on Spillwords, Webcultura, eCreator and Belgium Time. Being a woman, a daughter, a sister, a mother, an expat, a Transylvanian and a Londoner now, Simona is taking the sight to personal life experience with a social writing touch. She is a member of the World Jam, a worldwide poetry and music community based in Nottingham, where she discovered the joy of performing on stage as a poet. Simona’s most significant writing advocates and supporters are her sons who are pursuing their dreams while completing their PhD courses.

I woke up to my grandmother whispering to me: “It’s over. She’s passed.”

Like an automaton, I got up, and I obliged myself to hand in the project I had been hired for before all the frenzy of organizing a funeral began.
