The Loneliest Bride

The Loneliest Bride

written by: Stasia Poletskaia

No words in my head, no music inside.
And I swim in the depth of the sleepwalkers’ night.
No time, no space. So dead and alive,
Full of shadowy grace is this pale moonlight.
And I feel that the sky and its army of stars
Fill the emptiness of the desert in my eyes.
So cold, so warm. So calm, so bright.
Thank you, moon, in your dress I’m the loveliest bride.
So white, so soft, like the first autumn snow,
I’m the loneliest bride in my speechless sorrow.
