The Love is a Long Night of Silence

written by: Riak Marial Riak

and it does not end with a shadow
scrolling on soft walls
it ends with shadows placed
in the palms
to see how they danced to the waves
of desert wind
sometimes a quiet man
is not the real meaning of silence
it is love not willing to speak
for years
the charisma it once had to carry
stretches of scars
all it wanes in the memory of stars
in my house, the face is erected
on the exit
for me to know whatever the time
i will find love vanishing into the night
it is clasped to corridors of silence
and does not return
i have always been waiting for its departure
the face that carries a length of oneness
and it is not leaving until i say goodbye
goodbye to the fire served in my body
this is why it is difficult to continue
not looking stars in the face
if i can be given space to hold love
with its quiescent
i will hold all its remnants and not split
for sometimes i have seen each light
searching for serenity
all it can be in vain may cling to me
for i have found no way to move on.
