The Person Who Can’t Say No

The Person Who Can’t Say No

written by: Mohd Shoaib Abbasi

They carry the weight of the world on their back,
Saying “yes” to all, but their own life, they lack.
With every favor, they give more of their soul,
Losing themselves in a world they can’t control.
People take, yet they never give,
And this kind-hearted soul has forgotten to live.
They bend and they break, but they never decline,
Tangled in promises, forever confined.
But deep in their heart, there’s a silent plea,
For the strength to say “no” and to finally be free.
For in that simple word lies their truth,
A chance to reclaim the life of their youth.
