The Predicament of Being Present

The Predicament of Being Present

written by: Ciara

Drifting between realms of glory
Each passing moment
A fighting decision
On whether or not to become

Some actions proceed
Insignificant yet larger in number
Others dilute to nothing
Chief but an incredible struggle

Being stuck in your mind
Is a curse and a blessing as
Imagination is without its
Happy-ever-after ending

Each moment of hesitation
Every decision never made
All thoughts dwelled on too long
Adds up to the majority of everyday

With no current cure
No future remedy
Dreamers are left confined
In their small material world

Escaping to their plots and plans
When one world’s time stops
And another begins
Returning to their silent struggle
