The Scenting Lights

The Scenting Lights

written by: Naoki Kimura

Lured by a phantom’s call so light,
I drift between the edges of day and night;
In that quiet realm where truth meets disguise,
Reality and illusion softly arise.

Deep in the vaults of memories old,
A faint lavender breeze begins to unfold;
Its scent—a whisper from a time long past—
Revives lost moments meant forever to last.

It is neither born nor doomed to fade;

A lone beam of light stands, resolute and unafraid,
Enduring beyond the clutches of time,
Defining the present in its eternal shine.

And in the gentle art of remembering,
Fate’s design unfolds—unerring and enduring.
