Rush to the plane
Dash to the car
Run for your life
Jump over the bar
In this constant reviving
Of frantic surviving
It’s easy to forget
One simple task
take time to care for yourself
With each pending deadline
On everyone’s shortlist
Insert that time just to
Breath
A retreat out to wide open spaces
Those fields reserved just for you
Your mind and your spirt
enhanced in the moment
We’ll sort out
Will diffuse away
strains and pains of life every day
So take a moment
however short however long
To build yourself
To build you strong

My writing is typically written while I'm on a treadmill, so I call myself "the treadmill poet!"
