Traffic Jams

Traffic Jams

Traffic jams, are frustrating the city,
Source of annoyance, Oh, such a pity,
Bumper to bumper, for several miles,
Screeching away, the drivers smiles.

Blaring noises, many engines are idling,
Patience is down, frustration is building,
The air is heavy with exhaust smoke,
Ideal situation, short temper to provoke.

Amidst all this, chaos and desperation,
There’s still room, for some moderation,
To lessen the stress, and stay relaxed,
And keep yourself, from feeling taxed.

Music, audiobooks or a lively podcast,
Dialing a long lost friend from the past,
Record ideas using your microphone,
Tune to the radio on your smart phone..

Sit back on the seat and stay real calm,
Deep breathing, truly will do no harm,
Anger and frustration keep them away,
Building up patiences is the only way.

Focus on the present moment of time,
Mindfulness pracitces, so very sublime,
Eventually you’ll reach, your destination,
Relaxed and calm with little frustration.

We can all be good citizens of the nation,
Making the best of such a tough position,
Even in the toughest, traffic situation,
We can find moments, of true inspiration.
