Transition

Transition

written by: Akshita1776

Pain!
It blasts inside my forehead
Voices screech-
“Imperfect,
Not enough”
I sit idle,
Only ink scrawled across a page

“Burn!”
Someone screams from within
“Light up like wildfires,
That inadvertently consume cities,
Let your creeks,
Dry up forever”

“Hide,
‘Neath the mud,
Under perfunctory flowers,
If you get them,
If someone cares enough”

Peace,
Shall I ever know it?
Or perhaps the dirt clogging my ears
Will provide a semblance

Gone,
Will be my trace
No more a disgrace,

Happy,
I think they will be gradually

Silence.
