Uncertainty

Troubles me
What must come to be?
The green must fade,
To all it is fate.
The leaves must fall,
One by one and all.

But this earth I wander
Like a seeker of the second coming:
Knowing it is in the wind.

Such fan the worrying fire –
The when and the how –
My callow mind gnawing away.

I will take me solace in the what.
