Unchained Grace

Unchained Grace

written by: Sapto Mitra

Like a little doll, women would stay,
Smiling and obeying every single day.
From the sun rising to the moon disappearing,
Women’s lives had always been depressing.
In the early centuries, when men trapped women,
Women still obeyed, waiting for their men.
In old fairy tales, women are weak,
Authors warn girls to never speak.
Women are fools; women will never be man —
That’s what history had written to be banned.

They just forgot about the graceful goddesses,
About their blessings, grace, and their messages.
Women were never weak; they shine bright,
With their pain and suffering, they have might.

In the present days, as women are free,
Their actions are still trapped in cultural atrocity.
