Uncle Ben

Uncle Ben

written by: Harold Stetler

I miss my Uncle Ben
I miss him every day
I miss him in the morning when
I wake up and say
“Oh, miss you Uncle Ben.”

I loved my Uncle Ben
When I was only three
And I loved even more today when
I carved his name into a maple tree
Oh, I miss you Uncle Ben

I cry for Uncle Ben
Beside his green and grassy grave
I bow down my head in sorrow when
I remember how he was so brave
Oh, I miss you Uncle Ben

How I miss you Uncle Ben

Rest in Peace my Uncle Ben!
