What If You Stayed?

What If You Stayed?

written by: Revoullviounne

What if you stayed?

We could’ve had fought the
challenges and swear them not to
come back
We could’ve told the critiques “Hey!
We remained in love and stayed
strong as a rock!”

What if you stayed?

We could’ve had more dates, more
monthsaries, and anniversaries
worth to cherish
We could’ve kept a jar full of
memories like dancing at parties,
won’t perish

What if you stayed?

We could’ve ran away from home
and drove safe and sound down
the city
We could’ve done stargazing at
nights above the roof of our own
vehicle at eight-thirty

What if you stayed?

We could’ve saved each other
from intruders who want to break
our togetherness
We both could’ve had coffee,
chillin’, while cuddling each other’s
nakedness

What if you stayed?

I never should’ve shed tears
because you chose the months
than our years
I would still have someone to
lose and the reason why I want to
wake up everyday without fear

What if you stayed?
I wish you’d stayed.
But you didn’t.
