Where Silence Still Remembers
written by: Sael S. K.
And there I stood down below the blue abyss,
Behind the smile, I hid my misery
And the wind blowing all the sorrows that I carry,
All the precious words gleamed before by eyes,
All the precious moments echoed in my mind,
While I walk behind, to catch an only glance
With stars in my eyes,
Bid a majestic adieu, alike we met
And alas lost what I treasure,
In chocked desolation watched him leave
Imagining the words we share
That meant the world to me,
But can’t find the same glimmer
Don’t fret, all these feelings
Are as fade as the moon,
As distant as the horizon
It just felt like an aurora in a nightless night!…
And so the days turned into echoes of the past,
Each one a whisper, yet never a voice.
A glimpse away, yet worlds apart,
Tangled in silence, neither of us made the choice.
I let the seasons slip through my fingers,
Wrote verses only the moon could hear.
Told myself the story had ended—
Yet why does the past still feel so near?
Then today, a moment—so small, yet so loud,
A spark in the stillness we swore.
Did you linger too, just as I did?
Or was it just a fleeting touch, nothing more?
Did your heart waver, as mine did now?
Or was it the wind, just passing through?
I chase the ghosts of words unsaid,
Knowing deep down—I shouldn’t want to.
But don’t fret, all these feelings,
Are as fragile as the morning dew,
As weightless as a star’s last glow,
And yet, they still feel true.
Maybe we were never meant to be,
Or maybe we were, in another time.
For now, I’ll hold this hopeless hope,
And leave the rest to fate’s design.
It just felt like an old record playing in an abandoned galaxy—scratched, distant, but still whispering our story…
