Whispers of The Brooks

Whispers of The Brooks

written by: Maria Evelyn Quilla Soleta

I pass by nooks and many seasons
Against moss and endless miles
I jingle with pebbles and stones
Then run with the currents wild.

I roar at the deepening forests
I glance at a town nearby
I see folks, and they see me
I glisten against the blue, blue sky.

O, how in summer I laugh in glee
With the children’s frolic and fun
By night, moonlight caresses me
By day, I beam at the old, bright sun.

I wish to sing these songs to you
Melodious with the travels I take
The notes remain, but I must go
Where the vast blue ocean waits!
