Whom To Blame

Whom To Blame

written by: Keshika Elangovan

Whom to blame, whom to name,
When love and hurt feel just the same?
We both were kind, we both were true,
Yet somehow pain still broke us through.

Did time twist hearts to bitter ends,
Or did we fail to just be friends?
Did poison grow where care once stayed

Am I the flaw, are you the flame?
Or are we mirrors just the same?
No right, no wrong, just shades of grey,
Both walked the road that led astray.

Who drops the pride, who takes the fall?
Or are we both behind this wall?
We both have hearts, but locked so tight,
We lost the key, we dimmed the light.

Were laughs we shared a cruel disguise?
Were all those stars just cloudy skies?
Was it real, or just a play,
A moment’s joy that slipped away?

Whom to blame, what’s left to say?
There’s nothing now that makes us stay.

Just accept, accept and acceptance left!
