Would You?

I’m distant, where the sun rises,
and you look at the sunset. Between us –
are a wall of time, space, and agreements to overcome,
like a ransom to be paid at a wedding gate before seeing you.
Would you care to deny these when my loneliness,
longing for oneness, floods the night garden?
I close my eyes and see you look.
And feel the touch of your skin.
