Yearning Reflection

Yearning Reflection

written by: Orlando Blake

Some moments are deeply etched
In the memories that never fade,
Often awakening to the habitual
Reminders of the past,
In the garden of longing
The sketches are ever fresh
To be rekindled
To let us smile in tears,
Quite often, the thought
Prods us, as we dwell
On the future, leaving
The yestreen to be left alone,
The whirlwind strikes, leaving
Us in solitude, gasping
In the darkness, yet the past
Teases us with a gentle grin,
We cuddle them in tears
To free us from anguish.
