Yes, I Stutter! And?

Yes, I Stutter! And?

You call me stupid,
And you think I’m not whole?
Do you not understand
Your words are scarring my soul?

While you mock me to my face,
It makes me wonder,
Would you mock a legless man
If he took a blunder?

Why is one hindrance
To be pitied while the other is to lampoon?
Is it safe to say
Maybe you’re the buffoon?

My words may stagger
And have a hard time finding balance.
But rest assured, oh rude one
They hold plenty of excellence

I’m stupid am I?
Well, I just won an award;
Yes! My written words hit the heart of the judges
Like a perfectly drawn sword.

So the next time you want to roll your eyes,
Become impatient with me or tease,
I’ll thank you to keep your mouth shut
As I try to guess your disease

For you hold imperfection as well
Oh great ones, who judge so freely
Look at your janky teeth or boney frame
You think you’re perfect? Really?

But that’s okay, I guess
We will never be loved by all.
So I forgive your ignorance in this moment.
It just proves your own soul is too small.
