30 Minutes

30 Minutes

written by: G.R.F.

A clock ticks 1,800 times in 30 minutes
But when I called you for the last time
I didn’t hear the clock tick at all

In 30 minutes, I manage to
finish about 4 geometry problems
But my missing assignments didn’t cross
My mind once when I heard your voice
Only for the last time.

30 minutes was how long we were on the phone
Before the tone clicked after we said our last goodbye
30 minutes made me remember why
I miss when you were mine

If I had the chance to rewind time
I’d go back to our 30 minutes
The last 30 minutes I had you in my heart
So now I replay our 30 minutes in my mind
