Betrothal of Nature

Betrothal of Nature

written by: Tamara Yancosky

Cheery, fluttering rainbows
engage and fawn
dainty white-skirted miracles
which awaken at dawn.

Black-velvet wonders
dance upon white-laced innocence;
firelight shimmers through crimson silk
in fierce vividness.

Emerald and scarlet
hover among delicate virgins of purity,
an ongoing betrothal
of nature’s rites and surety.
