Our Inner Monster: Mr. Worry

Our Inner Monster: Mr. Worry

written by: Tamara Yancosky

A worthless monster named Mr. Worry-
generous with his dark clouds
that loom over our heads-
is an indiscriminate lender
of his manipulative blend.

Our intentions-
like delicate wire- he bends,
while twisting our goals
into a maze of panic-
on which he thrives and defends.

To ourselves, let’s make amends.
With God’s Truth,
we will transcend-
and away, Mr. Worry-
a blatant send-
we will cast him out
on his rear end.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – (1 Peter 5:7)
