Playful Doctor

Playful Doctor

written by: Jane Emeruwa

Every time I visit the meds, it gives me chills all over my body
The men in white have suddenly turned into my worst nightmare

What do I know?
I am only seven years old.
I have been in pain for seven months.
And, I can’t bear it any longer

Doc Sam is my favourite,
He knows how to keep me calm.
Rubbing me gently on my palm.

Whispering some stories into my tiny ears
Until I fall into a deep sleep.
Tomorrow is the big day, wish me well.
