Shore

written by: Naleenee Mohan

Shore whispered,
“Dear Moon it’s time now for you to snooze,
awake all night with the stars, so tired you seem.”
Moon bid bye to all around, hoping to see another angel crowned.

Shore constant with its affectionate words,
now caressed the pretty birds.
“Chirping creatures, so happy you seem,
I know it’s to welcome the morning beam.
Hush! see how calmly
The Sun begins its work,
Aha! He feels he will get an extra perk ;)”
Sun got angry at the Shore,
And heated the waves all the more.
Bawled the Sun, “You! always laying on the ground,
disturbing with your arrayed sound”.

The sensible Shore, showed regret,
“Dearest Sun, since ages I have been weeping
And know not ‘what is sleeping?’”
