Go Well, Dear Mother

Go Well, Dear Mother

written by: Red Tussock

Here I am sitting,
Mute unable to speak,
The heaviness in my heart,
Akin to Grief,
That message that
I often told you,
Go well, dear Mother,
Go Well …

Go with our Love,
Kind lady, farewell,
Leave us; be with him now,
Reach for the stars,
You always said,
Then, yes, reach,
Go well, dear Mother,
Go well …

Forgive the intrusion,
As we pass on by,
Briefly by your bed,
Out of respect and reverence,
Each visit that we keep,
But yes, be with him, reach yes reach,
Go well, dear Mother,
Go well …
