She turned with the tide

As all eyes lay sleeping
she walked from her bed
There was no concealing the choice in her head
Each step brought her closer to cold peace of mind
‘My fight is now over’ she thought ‘I must die’
The sun glowed a hallowed path over the sea
so easy to follow
her tears set her free
‘I’m so tired of fighting’ she said, deep inside.
Then wading in gently she turned with the tide.
