Where Are You Today?

Where Are You Today?

written by: Hema Ravi

The sky looks serenely bare-
You’re constantly on the move
disguised as smiling princess
bearded man
Santa’s reindeer
or candy floss;
a large blanket across
Well-attired.
Menacing glaring giant
who shuts his doors
upon cheerful children?
Nay! You shed copious tears
and when you adorn
shades of grey
You are playing peek-a-boo!
Your ever-changing hues
etched in my bosom
as the zephyr steps in
I know you’ll come back soon
It’s your day off!
